“jelly in their backbone”

Up until a few days ago, for the first time in my life, I was seriously considering a vote for the Congress. I was willing to overlook incompetence and malice, forgive them their Shivraj Patils and their Arjun Singhs.

Unfortunately, they’ve shown that they do, in fact, have nothing but jelly in their backbones. It’s a shame because a heck of a large segment of the middle class was rooting for the 123 agreement to go through and would have backed the Congress had it stuck to its guns. Now all they’ll get is contempt.

Pathetic old men with their greed for power.
